There are 12 days left to play Street Fighter V for free
Those who are short on cash or simply want to wait for the first round of discounts for the barely released Mortal Kombat 11 can enjoy Street Fighter V for free. Although it was released back in 2016, this is still a relevant title for those into fighting games and now can be acquired for a generous 60 percent discount. However, the best part is that the free-to-play period will end on May 5 for Steam/Windows players and May 6 for those on PlayStation 4 consoles, so there's plenty of time to take Capcom's title for a spin before deciding to buy it or not.
The "free trial" run that kicked off yesterday offers all the initial content from the original Street Fighter V, as well as the modes introduced with the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition — an update that arrived in January 2018. In addition to codes for all the DLC characters from seasons 1 and 2, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition also comes with new interface graphics, two new modes — Arcade and Extra Battle, one additional V-Trigger for each character, and a new opening cinematic.
The discounts currently available for Street Fighter V content go up to 70 percent. The Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition can be acquired for US$19.99 (50 percent off), while the original title goes for US$7.99 (60 percent off). Hardcore fans can also grab the season 1, 2, and 3 character passes for half the original prices, as well as the 2016 Seasonal Costume & Stage Bundle (66 percent off) and the 2017 Halloween and Holiday Costumes Bundle (46 percent off).
