The Mi Note 3, one of our top value picks of 2017, has seen yet another price slash—one that takes the price tag of its base model below the $300 mark.

Xiaomi's lineup of smartphones is known for its high performance to price ratio. The company released the Mi Note 3 towards the end of 2017 and a number of price slashes has put the device at an extremely attractive price point. Yet another discount is available right now, and this one cuts the price down to under $300.

We're massive fans of the Mi Note 3, as it provides incredible value for money. In fact, the smartphone was one of our top value picks of 2017. This new discount takes the base model—4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage—from about US$320 to just US$290.

The Mi Note 3 is definitely a capable device. It's powered by the Snapdragon 660, a sub-premium SoC from last year, and features a 5.5-inch FHD display, with dual rear cameras (OIS onboard). It gets its juice from a sizeable 3500 mAh battery that can quickly be refilled due to its Quick Charge 3.0 support.

Camera is where it shines, for those interested. DxOMark rates the device as having an overall score of 90, which is on par with the first-gen Pixel, a device hailed for having excellent camera performance.

Do note that the Mi Note 3 has no 3.5mm headphone jack, though, as that may be a dealbreaker for some.
