HTC's Desire series has been all but consigned to smartphone history at this point. Nevertheless, the latest rumors on this fading mobile OEM suggests it is getting resurrected with a variant that may launch this year. It is thought to be called the 20 Pro.
However, the latest tip reportedly dug up on this possible device frankly continues to beg the question of what is so Pro about it. This leak comes in the form of an entry for the "new Desire" on the Google Play Console resource. It paints a picture of a phone with a FHD+ display, 6GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 665 processor.
Therefore, it may confirm some of the specs from the Desire 20 Pro's reported appearance on Geekbench 5 earlier this year. This Play Console listing also overlaps with this leak in that they share the model identifier htc_bymdugl.
Then again, a front-panel image fails to show the more up-to-date punch-hole screen the possibly upcoming Desire variant had exhibited in a separate tip. Nevertheless, it also now seems this 20 Pro may not have the problem with getting Android 10 experienced by some of its older siblings.
