The BV9000 Pro is Blackview's next rugged premium device
Blackview's BV8000 Pro was launched in June this year, with the company's rugged premium device receiving mostly positive critical acclaim, relative to other devices within its intended space. Word from Blackview, however, points towards a release of the BV9000 Pro in the coming weeks, which is quite unexpected, as its predecessor is barely five months old.
The BV9000 Pro will sport an 18:9 full-screen display, like most recent devices. Display size and resolution is currently unknown but the BV8000 Pro opted for a 5-inch FHD one, so we expect to see something like a 5.7-inch FHD+ unit on its successor. The upcoming phone will be powered by MediaTek's 16nm Helio P25, a slight upgrade on the BV8000 Pro's Helio P20. It will also sport dual rear Sony sensors (13 MP + 5 MP), an 8 MP front-facing camera, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage.
Being a rugged device, it, of course, offers an IP68 rating, with Corning Gorilla Glass for the display's protection, and a mixture of rubber and metal on the body.
