We reported in November that the LG Gram series may soon be refreshed for the 2019 calendar year. Now, more rumors have surfaced detailing the sizes and features of the upcoming models.
According to sources close to Liliputing, there will be a 14-inch LG Gram 2-in-1 convertible alongside two traditional 15-inch and 17-inch models with more standard laptop form factors. All models will likely carry narrow display bezels along all three edges without needing to alter the placement of the webcam.
The more interesting of the three models is the 14-inch Gram 2-in-1. If true, this would be the first convertible Gram laptop from LG as all previous models from the family were traditional laptops. In keeping true to its family name, the 14-inch Gram convertible will supposedly weight just 2.6 pounds or under 1.18 kg to be one of the lightest convertibles in its size class. USB Type-C, HDMI, 3.5 mm combo audio, and a microSD card reader slot will be integrated onto the system. It remains to be seen if the system can also be charged via USB Type-C or only via its proprietary AC adapter port.
We'll likely find out more about what LG has in store come CES 2019 when we visit the show floor.
