Ishan Agarwal claims to have heard that Samsung has another new prospect for the 2021 Indian smartphone market in the works. Its alleged Snapdragon 778G SoC confers a 120Hz refresh rate on its possibly AMOLED display. This panel, according to the new MySmartPrice article based on this fresh leak, is to be called the Galaxy M52 5G on its launch.
Some users might wonder why Samsung would bother with such a hypothetical release, especially now the OEM has released the Galaxy A52s, a device that already offers the specs as above, in India. However, this prospective Galaxy M-variant's display is now slated to be 6.7 inches in diagonal length, whereas that of the pre-existing A-series device is 6.5 inches.
Furthermore, the apparently 8GB RAM "M52" is now said to have 64+12+5MP rear cameras, whereas the A52s has quad shooters. Finally, Agarwal has gone into remarkable detail in describing the potential new phone as having a polycarbonate shell with a distinctive pin-stripe texture.
Therefore, should this be the case, the Galaxy M52 might be a less than straightforward Samsung re-brand for a change - and might come in at a different price-point to the Galaxy A52s besides. This device is now available to order online in its latest market, starting at INR 35,999 (~US$490) for a unit with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable memory.
