Tesla has begun to send out invitations for a big Model Y Juniper facelift launch event in the US on Saturday, March 8.
Just as it did with the Cybertruck release, Tesla is gathering assorted influencers and automotive media personalities to deliver their cars in public.
It will also give them a walking tour of the Model Y Juniper refresh production lines at its Gigafactories in Texas and California.
Tesla is doing an unprecedented Model Y vehicle production ramp in four global factories at once, and, while in China the refresh was already released, US and Europe won't be far behind, it seems.
A drone overflight of Giga Texas during the weekend spotted parking lots full of freshly produced Model Y Juniper units, for instance, indicating an imminent release, and the launch event invitations now come to confirm that notion.
The Model Y Juniper release date in the US will thus officially be March 8, and, although the launch event is invite-only, Tesla is apparently planning a handoff ceremony keynote where it might share the official specs and pricing range.
That is when it might post the new Model Y Juniper prices on its website, too, as so far it has only been putting a $60,000 Launch Series edition there up for preorder. In Europe, where its sales have nosedived since the beginning of the year, Tesla already posted the prices of the cheapest 2026 Model Y Juniper RWD and the non-Launch Series AWD version.
There, it also offers an exclusive RWD version with the longest ever range on a Model Y of 386 miles (WLTP), so it remains to be seen which Juniper variants will the US get, and what batteries are they going to be powered with.
