Just as promised, Tesla used the first days of March to start delivering the first new Model Y Juniper refresh preorders to their rightful owners.
When Tesla announced the 2026 Model Y, it said that the Juniper facelift's release date in the US will be some time in March. Granted, it said the same thing for the China launch, and yet started delivering the preorders there earlier, on February 26.
To celebrate the Model Y Juniper refresh release date in the US, Tesla has now scheduled a March 8 delivery event which, however, is invite-only. It aims to recreate the Cybertruck launch when Tesla handed the proverbial keys off to an assorted mix of influencers and automotive media personalities.
The early Model Y Juniper facelift adopters in the US, however, have started flooding forum threads with their deliveries, posting the VIN numbers, and showing the refresh next to other Tesla cars in their garages or parking lots.
One customer who listed their ordering and delivery experience says that they pulled the preorder trigger on a 2026 Model Y Launch Series on January 23, and, after a few delivery window updates oscillated between mid-February and the beginning of March, they finally picked their Model Y on Sunday, March 2, from the Tesla store in Knoxville, Tennessee.
They posted pictures of both the Model Y Juniper delivery from the store, and from the house garage with the facelift car sitting next to their 2024 Model 3 Performance, so now they have the newest refresh versions of both Tesla bestsellers.
Since Tesla is still only selling and shipping the Launch Series edition in the US for now, the Tennessee man's new Model Y Juniper facelift comes with exclusive badging, as well as the Full Self-Driving option already included in the $60,000 price before tax credit.
Besides the US, Tesla has set 2026 Model Y delivery windows beginning this week in Europe as well, where it will also hold a launch event in Giga Berlin, but on Friday, March 7. That's a day before the big Fremont and Austin release date bash that will come with an exclusive factory tour of the Juniper assembly lines.
