Tesla cars now offered as a monthly subscription service in the US
Kyte, the company which aims to aid in the journey to sustainable transportation by providing access to vehicles on demand as an alternative to outright ownership, will be offering Tesla cars as a subscription service, starting on April 15. Cars from Kyte's fleet can be booked for various durations - from a day to several months - and are delivered directly to the customer.
For its pilot EV subscription project, Kyte has chosen the Tesla Model 3 which its service subscribers can now book at a monthly price of US$995 if they choose the annual subscription option. This includes "maintenance, insurance, registration, and roadside assistance" and if you only need a 3-month package, the monthly price goes up to US$1,350, while for six months the Model 3 will amount to US$1,125/month.
Giving people access to cars was why Kyte was founded, and this allows the company to disrupt things once again. The introduction of this new offering is not only unique, it's affordable – proving you don't need to overspend to experience the premium electric vehicle market.
The ability to get a Tesla Model 3 as a US$995/month subscription option will be available in Kyte locations across the New York area that include Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey City, as well as in San Francisco, CA on the West Coast. Kyte promises that the Tesla subscriptions will soon expand to all of its current 14 major markets in the US.
