Talix Zeta: Compact single-cell power station gets launch discount

Talix says it is associated with Lenovo and is crowdfunding its first in-house power station on Kickstarter. The device is currently listed for about $410 with free shipping. Delivery is planned for May 2026. Potential backers should be aware of the financial risks of crowdfunding campaigns in general.
With that out of the way, Talix highlights the Talix Zeta’s durability and claims it can handle 8,000 charging cycles. The power station uses lithium iron phosphate cells with a single-cell architecture. After said 8,000 cycles, the manufacturer says that 70% capacity should remain. Either way, the power station measures about 11.4 x 9.6 x 6.2 inches and weighs 21.6 lb, which should still make it reasonably portable. Capacity is a relatively high 1 kWh. The rated continuous AC output is listed at 300 watts, which is comparatively low. That may not be a dealbreaker, but it will not run high-power devices like a chainsaw. However, up to four units can be stacked, which increases the maximum rated continuous output to as much as 1,200 watts and short peaks that are almost twice as high.
As usual, the power station does not only offer AC output. It also includes three USB Type-C ports rated up to 240 watts, 140 watts and 45 watts, plus USB Type-A and a 12V socket. Charging via USB Type-C is possible at up to 240 watts, and solar charging is also supported at up to 110 watts. Under ideal conditions and likely with manual panel tracking, the power station could potentially recharge in a day. Meanwhile, a 3.5-inch display shows details like charging power and battery status. There is also an LED light that could be useful for camping.
