Any opportunity to purchase a Switch 2 for well below MSRP will draw attention. The new Nintendo console and its games are rarely on sale. While this deal requires several steps, gamers can save $100 off the regular Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle price. Sam’s Club members are stacking discounted eShop gift cards before redeeming them at Nintendo’s store.
As highlighted on Slickdeals, the first step is to purchase five $100 multipacks at Sam's Club, each containing five $20 cards. The eShop gift card pack has a reduced price of $79.98. Then, the next stage of the process is to redeem the $500 worth of credits on Nintendo’s site. Finally, once logged into Nintendo accounts, apply the balance to Switch 2 consoles. The end result is that gamers are paying $399.90 plus tax for the Mario Kart World Bundle.
It may take Sam’s Club up to 48 hours to deliver the codes to buyers. Also, entering the $20 codes individually can be tedious. Still, deal hunters are already reporting success claiming the handheld for $400.
Despite the PS5 and Xbox Series X becoming more expensive, the Switch 2 price has not increased since its release date. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with the original Switch, which costs $40 more. The base model is now $339.99, making the current deal with an included game even more enticing.
How many Switch owners have upgraded?
Setting numerous sales records, Nintendo fans have seen enough reason to upgrade to the newer handheld. The console supports previous-generation Switch games, unlocking a massive library of titles. Thanks to enhanced specs, the system also welcomes a larger number of third-party AAA releases. That said, the appeal for most gamers is first-party projects like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza.
At 7.9 inches, the Switch 2 has a larger screen than its predecessor. A native 1080p resolution is also an upgrade, with the included dock enabling 4K gameplay at 120Hz. Nevertheless, some fans lament the lack of an OLED screen with a higher contrast ratio.
The gaming handheld market has become much more competitive in recent months. Regardless, at a Switch 2 price of $400, not many Nintendo fans would consider a ROG Xbox Ally or other alternative.
