Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop pocket watch launches with eight unique shades

Finally, the much-hyped Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop has officially launched in the global market. In case you are wondering if it’s a wristwatch, then let me tell you it’s not. These are eight unique pocket watches that can be dropped in your pocket, attached to a bag, or placed in a removable stand that lets the watch function as a desk clock.
Swatch x AP has launched the Royal Pop in two main variants, namely, the Lepine-style pocket watch with a crown at 12 o’clock and hour-minute indication only and a Savonnette-style pocket watch with a 3 o'clock crown and a small second at 6 o'clock. The former offers a total of six varieties, including Orenji Hachi (navy case with orange/red screws), Otto Rosso (pink case and dial with red bezel), Huit Blanc (white case, dial, and bezel with rainbow-colored indices and screws), Green Eight (lime-green bezel paired with a green case and dial), and Ocho Negro (black dial and case complemented by a white bezel and indices).
While the latter offers only two models, namely the Lan Ba (light blue and mid-blue) and the Otg Roz (pink, yellow, and teal). Speaking of powered things, the Royal Pop is powered by the Sistem51 movement, which is said to offer around 90 hours of power reserve, an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring, and a factory laser-based precision adjustment.
As for price, the Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop (Lepine style) retails for $400 and the Savonnette style costs $420. It will be available from selected Swatch boutiques from 16th May. You can learn more about it via Swatch's official website.
