Garmin’s Approach S44 is receiving software version 9.04
The Garmin system software version 9.04 is now available for two of the brand’s smartwatches. The stable update resolves several bugs experienced by users of these wearables linked to golfing. Plus, the release also tackles a problem with the music controls glance for the Approach S44 wearable.

Garmin’s Approach S44 and Approach S50 smartwatches are receiving a new stable software update. Version 9.04 has landed around four months after the software version 8.04 release, which brought several bug fixes linked to the music app and PlaysLike function to these golfing wearables.

System software version 9.04 addresses two more bugs experienced by users of these Approach watches. The first resolves an issue with the golf smartwatch’s scoring flow. This did not automatically appear when the users left the green after completing the last hole in a course. Garmin has also tackled a problem where the measurement arc from a connected Rangefinder was not displayed. Plus, only for users of the Approach S44, comes a fix for a bug which caused some buttons to be hidden unexpectedly from the music controls glance.

The change log (below) for software version 9.04 was recently shared in posts on the Garmin forum. Here, a representative for the brand confirmed that this update was now available for all users of the Approach S44 and Approach S50 (curr. $399.99 at Amazon) smartwatches.
