A multitude of life-sims have been releasing on Steam lately. Dragon Song Tavern: Cozy & Adventurous is the latest to join that list, as of September 24, 2025. It is now available on Steam for PC at a price of $19.99 with a 20% launch discount. Developed by Etherous Games and published alongside HarrisonWorld, this title lets players manage a seaside tavern while going on quests with a charming baby dragon companion.
The game is designed around siblings Gracie and Elio, who unexpectedly inherit a coastal tavern and discover a baby dragon inside. Players can choose either sibling or create a unique character to experience everything from tavern management, farming, fishing, crafting, to exploration across eight maps - maps that are filled with mythical creatures. The gameplay has elements of light farming simulation with turn-based combat against monsters and resource gathering. And all of it comes wrapped in a cozy, storybook-like aesthetic.
Dragon Song Tavern also supports a ton of customization options - players can decorate their tavern, outfit their character, and upgrade facilities to attract more guests. The launch includes a Deluxe edition as well, with a "Breeze of the Sea" DLC pack that comes with themed furniture, new outfits, pet and ship cosmetics, and a digital artbook. Plus, early access players receive a free upgrade to this Deluxe edition.
The aggregate of user feedback so far is "Mostly Positive" - nearly 80% of reviews are favorable so far. While players dig the game’s cozy atmosphere, unique combat, and tavern mechanics, some reviews cite amateurish design elements, performance issues, and a feeling of being somewhat derivative of similar cozy titles. However, on the positive side, the developer has been quite active in community engagement, regularly updating the game post-launch.
The game is also planned for Nintendo Switch (curr. $315 on Amazon) release around March 2026, with further ports for PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile platforms expected by the end of 2026.
