The game will be removed on November 17.
Sony removes a new set of games from the PS Plus Game Catalog every month. And it seems that just two days before GTA 6's launch, GTA 5 will be leaving the service.

GTA 6 is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, and excitement surrounding the game is at an all-time high. Fans have been waiting for its release for well over a decade, but the wait will finally be over soon. In the meantime, it seems Sony will be removing its predecessor from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog shortly before GTA 6 arrives.

As shared by Reddit user Otherwise_Ninja_9699, Sony appears to be sending a new message to PlayStation Plus members, encouraging them to take a "trip to Los Santos" while they wait for GTA 6 to arrive on PS5. However, the same message also confirms that while GTA 5 is currently available to Extra and Premium members, it will only remain in the catalog until November 17.

For those who don't know, Sony adds a new lineup of games to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog every month, but it also removes a selection of older titles at the same time. And it now seems that GTA 5 will be among the games being removed from the service in November 2026.

The good news is that you still have more than a month to access GTA 5 through your PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscription. However, once the game leaves the catalog on November 17, you will need to purchase it separately if you want to continue playing.
