One PlayStation Plus October Game Catalog title has been revealed early

Sony will reveal the full PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for October 2026 later this month, giving Extra and Premium members another selection of games to download and play. Last month ended up being a solid one for subscribers, with Sony adding RuneScape: Dragonwilds, WWE 2K26, and several other titles to the catalog. However, it seems Sony has already confirmed one game that will be a part of the next lineup. 

The official PlayStation YouTube channel posted a PS5 release date trailer for Mycopunk a few weeks ago, confirming that the game is coming to Sony's console on October 20. PlayStation then shared more information on X, revealing that Mycopunk will also join the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on October 20. This means Extra and Premium members will be able to play it through their subscription when it arrives on PS5. 

That said, Mycopunk isn't actually a brand-new game. It originally launched into Early Access on PC on July 10, 2025, giving the developers more than a year to work on the game with feedback from players. The team has now confirmed that Mycopunk will leave Early Access on October 20, meaning its PS5 and PlayStation Plus arrival will happen alongside the full release.

As for what the game is about, it is a mission-based looter shooter where players control a group of robot outcasts known as the New Atlas Hazard Crew. The team works for SAXON Corporation, which has tasked them with dealing with a mysterious fungal disaster spreading across an entire planet.

The game supports four-player co-op and features hordes of fungal aliens to fight using futuristic weapons and even power tools. Customization is a big part of the game, with hundreds of handcrafted upgrades that can be placed into grid-based slots. Players can also mix different mods to create unusual builds, whether they want to focus on healing teammates, improving their weapons, or experimenting with more chaotic combinations.
