Archive.org versionMessage to Apple: When you're on top, you're the target. Take one look at the VAIO S Series, Sony's latest stylish laptop entry, and it's clear the electronics giant's design team had its aiming reticule set right on the 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro. Sony’s S Series packs speed and features into a slim frame, and it squeaks in under $1,000. It's stylish enough to be a lower-cost alternative to the MacBook Pro.
