The Solos AirGo Vision Smartglasses are now available. The wearable, also known as the AirGo V, was announced earlier this year. It competes with devices like the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, offering many of the same features.
One difference between the two models is that the AirGo Vision offers an integration with OpenAI’s GPT-4o. Like the equivalent Meta AI assistant, the AI allows the glasses to answer queries, and it can translate into another language. It is worth noting that this feature requires a premium subscription, priced at $10 per month. You can use the built-in camera to take photos, and there are touch controls on one arm to adjust the volume of the integrated speakers. The glasses are said to play music for up to 10 hours, recharging via USB-C.
The AirGo V is available as the squarer Krypton 1 or the slimmer Krypton 2. Plus, there is a wide range of Argon and Xeon Frame Fronts, sold separately, allowing you to customize the wearable to suit your style. By switching the front, you can also choose to remove the camera, should you wish. You can now buy the Solos AirGo Vision Smartglasses for $299/£239.95/€290.36. In the US, that’s the same price as the entry-level Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses at Amazon. Shipping will begin on December 23rd.
