The Skoda Laurin & Klement Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé EVs have been revealed in the UK. The electric vehicles have a more powerful 210 kW motor, compared to the 150 kW and 195 kW motors in the older 80 and 80x models. This allows the rear-wheel drive Enyaq L&K to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (0 to 60 mph) in 6.7 seconds, around two seconds faster than the 80.
The Enyaq L&K 85 and Enyak L&K 85x coupé also have a longer range of 570 km (~354 miles) and 550 km (~342 miles), respectively. That’s an additional 60 km (~37.3 miles) on the 80, with a 510 km (~320 miles) range, or 73 km (~45.4 miles) on the 80x, which has a 497 km (~309 miles) range. The new SUVs can be charged from 10 to 80% in 30 minutes, and the battery can now be pre-heated with one of two modes to optimize charging speeds in cooler conditions.
Several upgrades, such as the battery pre-heating function, will be rolled out to other Enyaq models for 2024. Skoda has also refreshed the user interface across the infotainment system, Virtual Cockpit and heads-up display for a more intuitive experience. For example, favourite buttons can provide quick access to your chosen features, such as windscreen heating or Lane Assist. The front seats have heating, ventilation and massage abilities, and are available in beige or black leather. It is unclear how much the new Skoda L&K Enyaq SUVs will cost; the Skoda Enyaq 80x starts from £52,505, and the range-topping vRS model from £54,370.
