Sikur has focused on a niche in the smartphone market. Rather than try to compete with the big name brands, the company has been working on making its devices hacker-proof. The SikurPhone is the firm's latest product, and it offers cryptocurrency traders a device with a supposedly secure wallet. The SikurWallet app can be used to create multiple wallets for different virtual currencies, can track market information and it can provide P2SH (pay-to-script-hash) multi-signature security. Basically, Sikur is aiming to offer the most secure hardware and software platform combination currently on the market.
Apart from this unique selling point, the SikurPhone also comes with a 5.5-inch Gorilla Glass display, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera, and a 2800 mAh battery. The price for a device with these specs and all that layered security? US$799. However, that figure is likely to change in the future as it is just a pre-sale price for the first 20,000 units. Sikur’s GranitePhone was originally priced at US$849. Such enhanced security can be costly.
Sikur is so certain of its product that one of the new SikurPhones is being gifted by the company to Steve Wozniak, who lost seven Bitcoins due to trading fraud.
The SikurPhone should be available in August.
