Android One handsets are finally getting out of the low-end sector of the market thanks to the Sharp 507SH mid-ranger. More than just a set of decent specs, this new affordable Android device comes with increased protection from the elements and an excellent battery life of up to 3 days.
The highlights of this handset include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, as well as micrSD support. Its connectivity capabilities include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, as well as NFC. Its front camera has 5 MP, while the main image snapper is a 13 MP one. At last, the installed operating system is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with updates from Google to be provided for at least 18 months (as it happens with all Android One handsets).
Unfortunately, Sharp 507SH will launch only in Japan via Y! Mobile but international availability might follow at a later date. As soon as that happens, we will get back to it, so stay tuned.
