ScreenDock: Attractive 8-in-1 dock features a 5.5-inch built-in display, affordable price tag

CableTime has launched a new Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming product, the ScreenDock. As the name suggests, the product is basically an entry-level dock with a built-in screen to display information of various kinds.

The ScreenDock features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 by 720. While that may sound quite low, it should be enough for what is intended to be a secondary display. The display can be utilized to monitor CPU and GPU tests, usage statistics, dashboards, progress bars, guides, and more. 

Gamers can also use it to display maps and chat windows, as stated by CableTime.

Usability should be simple enough since the screen dock claims that windows from the primary monitor can be transferred over to the ScreenDock by simply moving them. 

Plenty of first-party widgets are also available, which can be customized to suit different needs and tastes.

As the name suggests, the ScreenDock is also a dock which features 8-in-1 expansion capabilities. The I/O has been detailed below:

• SD and TF card reader (up to 104 MB/s)
• 100 W PD via USB-C
• Gigabit Ethernet
• HDMI (4k60Hz)

Physical buttons are also present to adjust brightness. Supported Operating Systems include macOS 10.12+, Windows 10+, as well as Linux. 

For early birds, the CableTime ScreenDock is priced at $119 on Kickstarter. Interested customers are requested to be vigilant and cognizant of the risks associated with backing crowdfunding campaigns. An estimated delivery date of October 2026 has been shared.
