Amazon is currently selling the 2022 MacBook Air with Apple's M2 chip for US$150 off, a savings of 10-13%. This discount applies to both the 256 GB and 512 GB versions of Apple's new notebook.

While Black Friday is done and Cyber Monday is winding down, there are still some good deals to be found. One such offer is over at Amazon: the retail giant is cutting the price of the 2022 MacBook Air by US$150.

The deal is on the entry-level 2022 MacBook Air, which is powered by Apple's M2 SoC (with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU) and 8 GB of unified RAM. The US$150 discount applies to both storage options (either 256 GB or 512 GB), representing a 13% and 10% discount, respectively. With the discount, this brings the price of the 256 GB model to $1049 (down from $1199) and the 512 GB version to $1349 (from $1499).

In our review of the 2022 MacBook Air, we praised the laptop's high-quality build and sleek look. We also lauded the Air's long battery life and solid performance despite its thin chassis. However, we took issue with its high initial price tag. In that regard, today's deal mitigates the main hurdle in our review's recommendation.

For $50 more than last year's M1 MacBook Air, the 2022 MacBook Air has a faster CPU, a much better screen that almost fully covers the P3 color gamut, a better 1080p webcam, and MagSafe charging.

Amazon hasn't put a time limit on this sale, so it may continue after Cyber Monday. Still, if you've been looking to grab the latest MacBook Air, this is a great time to do so.

Buy the 2022 Apple MacBook Air (M2, 8c/8c, 8 GB RAM, 256 or 512 GB SSD) at Amazon.
