Samsung Z1
This handset will get the software update on the 22nd, after roughly a month spent in beta testing.

Samsung released the beta version of Tizen 2.4 to those interested last month, and now it looks like the final version is coming later this week. According to a message posted on Facebook about a day ago and which has been removed in the meantime, Tizen 2.4 will hit the Samsung Z1 on January 22.

Tizen Experts mentioned a message posted by Jason Dongwon Kwak, Managing Director of Samsung’s R&D Institute in India that read the following: "Z1 2.4 update will be available around 22nd this month. Be patient. It will support ShareIt and WhatsApp voice call and more" It seems that this release will also include Ultra Data Saving mode, the ability to hide memos and personal messages, an enhanced setup flow, user voice recording with music background, as well as an easier way to add/remove home screen widgets.

Samsung Z1 is currently available in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh. We will surely hear more about it soon since a delay is still possible as the Facebook message is no longer available, as mentioned earlier. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy the Tizen 2.4 beta video below.
