A bit of this and a bit of that. Samsung's 355E5C brings along an APU and a Radeon HD 7470M GPU from AMD alongside a matte screen. Sounds like the perfect office laptop. Our review reveals whether that is true.

Magic number seven. An Intel i7 processor, a 7670 AMD graphics card and a 750 GB hard drive all packed into a 17.3-inch notebook. It's easy to see Samsung is hot on the number seven. But are we hot on the notebook too?

Samsung: The Samsung Group is composed of numerous international businesses, all united under the Samsung brand in South Korea. The meaning of the Korean word Samsung is "tristar" or "three stars". The Samsung brand is one of the most important brands of South Korea. Samsung is an international notebook manufacturer of medium size according market shares and reviews.
In 2015 and 2016, Samsung had a market share of around 24-25% in the global smartphone market and was undisputed market leader. In the laptop sector, Samsung is on the 8th place in the global manufacturer rankings from 2014-2016 with 1.7-2.7%.
In 2016 Samsung slipped into a crisis due to exploding smartphone batteries and a failed recall action.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
AMD Radeon HD 7640G + HD 7670M Dual Graphics: Dual Graphics (asymmetrical CrossFire) combination of a dedicated Radeon HD 7670M and a 7640G processor graphics card (in the processor core of the A-Series). Only in some cases faster than the dedicated GPU alone and furthermore it sometimes suffers from micro stuttering.
AMD Radeon HD 7670M: Renamed Radeon HD 6650M and therefore still produced in 40nm.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
AMD Radeon HD 7470M: Based on the old Seymore XT chip and therefore a renamed version of the Radeon HD 6490M (perhaps with slightly changed clock rates).
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
Intel HD Graphics 3000: Integrated graphics card in the Intel Sandy Bridge processors (Core ix-2xxx). The HD 3000 is the faster (internally GT2 called) version with 12 Execution Units (EUs).

AMD A-Series:
A8-4500M: Trinity quad-core, 1.9 - 2.8 GHz, 7640G GPU
AMD E-Series:
E2-1800: Dual Core low power processor with an integrated graphics cards. The processor is on a level with Celeron SU2300 (1.2 GHz) and the GPU part about as fast as an Nvidia ION (2).
Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
3610QM:
An Ivy Bridge-based quad-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.3 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4000 GPU running at 650-1100 MHz on a dual channel DDR3 memory controller.
Intel Pentium:
B980: Dual-core processor based on the Sandy Bridge architecture with an integrated graphics card and dual-channel DDR3 memory controller. Due to the Pentium brand, many features of the Sandy Bridge core are deactivated.

2.33 kg:
Usually subnotebooks, ultrabooks and quite lightweight laptops with 12-16 inch display-diagonal weigh as much.
2.8 kg:
This weight is representative for typical laptops with a 14-16 inch display-diagonal.
80.33%: This rating should be considered to be average. This is because the proportion of notebooks which have a higher rating is approximately equal to the proportion which have a lower rating.
