Samsung describes the 15.6-inch RV510 as an affordable and powerful laptop. Priced at around £480, it's certainly affordable, but, as it uses a rather lowly dual-core Intel Pentium T4500 chip, can it really be described as powerful? The 15.6-inch Samsung RV510 certainly has its good points, including an excellent keyboard and vibrant screen, but its sluggish processor means it's outclassed by similarly priced rivals.

We always have high hopes for Samsung laptops, but the RV510 unfortunately just doesn't quite deliver, thanks to its irritating keyboard and mouse and performance that is a little underwhelming.

Samsung: Samsung Group is the largest South Korean conglomerate and was founded in 1938. Samsung Group employed 489,000 people in 2014 and is one of the world's largest companies in terms of revenue and market strength. The name Samsung means "Three Stars" in Korean and represents the three sons of the company's founder. The company was founded in 1938 as a grocery store. With its subsidiary Samsung Electronics, founded in 1969, Samsung took up the production of electrotechnical items, focusing on consumer electronics and household appliances at an early stage. Other branches in which the large corporation is active include mechanical engineering, automobiles (Hyundai), insurance, wholesale, real estate and leisure. Samsung manufactures a wide range of electronic products, including smartphones, televisions, home appliances and semiconductors. The company's Galaxy line of smartphones is one of the most popular in the world. Samsung is also a major player in the semiconductor industry, making memory chips and processors for many other electronics manufacturers.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500M: The graphics core of the Intel GL40 and GS40 chipset features a slower clocked GMA 4500MHD (400 versus 533 MHz). Because of the slower core speed, full Blu-Ray Logo support is not given and the gaming performance is a bit worse.

Intel Pentium Dual Core: The return of the name Pentium, though it is a Yonah core. In fact, it is a double Core processor with a very good relation of performance to current consumption.
T4500:
Entry to middle class dual core CPU with 1 MB level 2 cache and no virtualization technology. Compared to the Core 2 Duo line, some power saving mechanism are deactivated.
Intel Celeron Dual-Core: The Intel Celeron Dual-Core familiy consists out of dual core CPUs for cheap laptops. Compared to the Celeron M single core family the biggest advantage (in addition to the second core) is the Enhanced Speedstep function, which enables the notebook to downclock the CPU in Idle mode. Therefore, the current consumption can be much lower. Compared to the Core (2) Duo or Pentium Dual-Core processors, the Celeron Cual-Core features much less L2 Cache which leads to a lower performance per clock.
T3500: The Celeron T3500 is a stripped down Pentium T4300 with fewer power saving mechanism (e.g. Enhanced Speedstep is missing). Therefore, the performance should be equal to the T4300 in the entry level segment.
