Deal | Samsung Galaxy S22+ gets up to 33 percent discount on Amazon

Unveiled in early February 2022 alongside the base Galaxy S22 and the mobile photography-note-focused Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ had a launch price of US$999.99 for the 128 GB model. Amazon's current list price is the same, with US$1,049.99 displayed for the 256 GB variant. Thankfully, both have received noticeable discounts: 24 percent for the 128 GB model and 33 percent for its sibling.

After the aforementioned discounts, the new prices are US$667.99 (128 GB, Phantom Black) and US$799.99 (256 GB, Phantom White). The Samsung Galaxy S22+ units sold by Amazon are fully compatible with US carriers and feature highlights such as Night and Portrait photo modes, adaptive color contrast, 25 W fast charging (both wireless and reverse wireless charging are also supported), live sharing with Google Duo, and more. 

In addition to the above, it should be mentioned that the processor used is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (European models come with the Exynos 2200). Sadly, there is no microSD support and no 3.5 mm audio jack. 

After 146 reviews from Amazon users, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5. Although 70 percent of these ratings are 5/5 stars and 13 percent awarded 4/5 stars, the breakdown by feature comes with rather low scores. The fingerprint reader gets a 4.6 rating, followed by battery life and face recognition with 3.5 each, and a modest 3.4 "value for money" rating.
