Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 specifications potentially leaked
The 2015 Galaxy J5 and J7 launched mid last year, but a successor may have long been in the works. Source code on GitHub point to 2016 versions of the Galaxy J5 (SM-J510) and Galaxy J7 (SM-J710), both of which are already in the GFXBench database.
Accordingly, the next Galaxy J7 will likely carry a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, a 13 MP f/1.9 rear camera, 5 MP f/2.2 front camera, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB eMMC, 4300 mAh battery, and a Snapdragon 650 (formerly Snapdragon 618) SoC. Previous rumors assumed a Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 SoC and a 3000 mAh battery instead, so these latest leaks are even more promising for the unannounced mainstream smartphone.
In Dubai, the budget 2016 Galaxy J1 is already available for roughly 125 Euros and includes a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, 4G/LTE support, 1 GB RAM, and 8 GB eMMC. The larger 2015 Galaxy J3 is expected to carry the model number SM-J320 with a 5-inch display, 8 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras, and a Spreadtrum quad-core processor. The smartphone was recently spotted at the FCC for wireless testing and conformity.
