The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro is an incredibly capable ultrabook, delivering a gorgeous AMOLED display, powerful performance, and all-day battery, all within a thin and light chassis that makes this 15-inch computer feel smaller than it truly is. The Galaxy Book 2 Pro makes a strong argument for being one of the best back-to-school laptops, though it’d also be a great pick for anyone in need of a top-tier productivity laptop. Of course, there are plenty of other options to consider if you’re shopping for an ultraportable. The Apple MacBook Air M2 ($1,199) is the obvious choice for anyone looking to dip their toes into Apple’s ecosystem, while the Dell XPS 13 Plus ($1,299), and Asus Zenbook S13 OLED ($1,299) are tempting Windows alternatives. Yet while the competition is fierce, that doesn’t take away from Samsung’s achievements with the Galaxy Book 2 Pro, which is a great laptop in its own right, but an even better buy for users already invested in the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.

If you're after an alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 5G then the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 is an obvious contender: as you can probably tell from the name, you lose the 5G connectivity but you do get a screen that you can fold all the way over. You also get a stylus and a touchscreen display – so there are advantages there, whether you're doing some creative doodling or propping up the laptop and its display in tent mode to sit back and watch some films.

Following up from the successful Galaxy Book Pro, Samsung has released a pair of new productivity laptops; the hybrid laptop-tablet Galaxy Book2 Pro 360, and the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro. We’ve got our grubby mitts on the latter for a review, and here’s a shocking revelation for you: it’s just like the first one, only better. The Galaxy Book2 Pro starts at $1,050 in the States (£999, around AU$1,525), though that’s for the 13-inch model; the 15-inch version we’re reviewing here will run your $100 more for the base model. The 5G variant we were sent appears to be currently only available in the UK for £1,249 and up. 5G or not, this is clearly an impressive product. The original Samsung Galaxy Book Pro was a sleek and powerful laptop targeting the busy professional, with an undeniably premium price tag but performance and design quality to match. This sequel is no different, and it actually feels like Samsung wanted to change as little as possible here - but that’s not a bad thing.

It’s hard to find a setup that can rival the power at this size. They can be at the same weight, but they can’t compete with this guy’s power and battery life, this combination is just insane. All in all, you can’t go wrong with this sleek NP950XED-KA1US 2022 SAMSUNG Galaxy Book2 Pro.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro is an impossibly thin and light 15.6in laptop, and thus one of the most genuinely portable full-sized machines we’ve used. It also benefits from a punchy AMOLED display and decent performance but is certainly not perfect.

Samsung has some fantastic smartphones, and now that we’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro, we can certainly say the same about its laptops. The Galaxy Book 2 Pro is extremely light and easy to manage, packs a punch in terms of performance for everyday users, has a stunning display, and has all the ports you’ll need to get some work done. These are good specifications for a laptop that costs just over Rs. 1 lakh. However, there are several instances where the Galaxy Book 2 Pro falls short of its rivals. Long-term usage of the keyboard is unpleasant, and battery life is only mediocre. Due to strict power management, Samsung could have provided an NVIDIA MX series GPU with the Core i7 model to allow decent editing and creative work. The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro, on the other hand, delivers the best combination of a spectacular display, a very slim and light body, good performance, and the best port selection on an ultra-portable. The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro is our top suggestion in this category.
