The Galaxy A8 is now closer to its inevitable U.S. launch with a FHD display and 8-core processor.

Just a few days after the Galaxy A8 leak, the smartphone is now at the hands of the FCC.

While the design of the Galaxy A8 is similar to other Samsung smartphones, this particular model stands out for being just 5.94 mm thick. Other specifications include a 5.7-inch 1080p display, 8-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2 GB RAM, MicroSD support, and 16 GB eMMC. The rear and front cameras are expected to be 16 MP and 5 MP, respectively.

Despite the leaks, Samsung has yet to officially announce the Galaxy A8. The smartphone is nonetheless moving at full speed through certification processes at both the FCC in the U.S. and TENAA in China. The chassis of the Galaxy A8 should be metallic for a high quality feel.
