Samsung Galaxy A8 price and launch date surface

The rumors about Samsung Galaxy A8 that have been circulating the web for the last couple of weeks are finally starting to give us a complete image of what seems to be the thinnest smartphone ever. After photos and specs had surfaced, we now learned the alleged pricing and launch date.

A Chinese online reseller just revealed that the device will be made official as soon as on July 17. At least in China. There is no word about availability on other markets, but knowing Samsung, we’re expecting it to go wordwide rather soon.

The other part of the news is the price. According to the rumors, the Galaxy A8 will cost around $480 (roughly 440 Euro).

As for the specs, the rumors have been pretty consistent so far. We are expecting a 5.7-inch device with Super AMOLED, FullHD display, powered by Snapdragon 615 and 2 GB of RAM. The major selling point will most likely be the ultraslim, 5.9-mm body. Seems it’s just a couple of weeks longer before we find out.
