Samsung Galaxy A53 5G receives Chinese and Indian certifications ahead of its release
Samsung has certified the Galaxy A53 5G for sale in China and India with the 3C and BIS, respectively. Spotted by the likes of Mysmartprice, the handset first leaked in September. A month later, @OnLeaks and Digit published numerous renders of the device, supposedly based on leaked CAD files.
As the 3C screenshot below shows, Samsung certified the SM-A5360 with the EP-TA200, a charger that supports 15 W fast charging. Currently, Samsung sells the EP-TA200 for £12. Incidentally, the EP-TA200 is one of the cheapest chargers that Samsung offers. Seemingly, Samsung plans to bundle the EP-TA200 with the Galaxy A53, which could retain its predecessor's 4,500 mAh battery.
Presumably, the Galaxy A53 will also match the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52s in supporting up to 25 W fast charging. Based on last month's Geekbench listing, the Galaxy A53 will feature the Exynos 1200 SoC as well, an alternative to the Snapdragon 778G in the Galaxy A52s.
The same listing reported the Galaxy A53 as having 6 GB of RAM, but this is probably one of three memory configurations in which Samsung will sell the device, based on its predecessors. Samsung is expected to equip the Galaxy A53 with a 120 Hz display too, plus a 64 MP main camera.
