MySmartPrice has reported that the Samsung Galaxy A40 smartphone will be sold in Europe, at a price of €249 (~US$283). The device will be part of the same series as the recently launched A10, A30, and A50 smartphones. The A40 is expected to hit European markets soon and may also be sold in India at some point in the future.

The Samsung Galaxy A40 is apparently going to be on sale in Europe soon according to one of MySmartPrice’s sources. The midrange smartphone is rumored to have a price tag of €249 (~US$283). The full specifications of the Galaxy A40 have not yet been confirmed, but it should come with a Samsung Exynos SoC.

The Galaxy A40 could sport either the 7885 or the similar 7904 chipset, which has a lower clock rate than the older 7885. Other rumored hardware includes a 6.4-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED (1080x2340; 19.5:9) and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage. Up to 512 GB of additional storage via microSD slot should be possible.

The Samsung Galaxy A40 is expected to operate on Android 9.0 Pie straight out of the box. Another source also states that the smartphone could feature a 4000 mAh battery and offer a rear-facing dual camera setup consisting of a 13 MP camera and an 8 MP camera. An 8 MP selfie camera could also be present.
