Reviews for the Samsung Galaxy A15
Samsung now also uses a bright AMOLED screen in its entry-level phone of the Galaxy A series and includes much faster storage and a wide-angle camera. Will this dispense with the need for a more expensive smartphone? We find out in our test.

The Samsung Galaxy A15 LTE demonstrated a much-improved battery performance in all the use cases over the previous Samsung Galaxy A14 5G. Equipped with the same-sized 5000 mAh battery as in the previous generation, the Samsung Galaxy A15 LTE lasted for more than 3 days and 6 hours when used moderately, compared with the A14 5G’s 2 and half days. The A15 LTE’s outdoor performances were also quite impressive, and ranked among the best devices that we have tested. In the standardized use-case tests, the autonomy showing was very impressive for calling and watching a video in 4G conditions, although the autonomy when listening to music was not as long lasting when compared with its competitors. The Samsung Galaxy A15 LTE supports up to 25W charging, which requires more than 1 hour and 40 minutes to fully charge the device.

In conclusion, both the Galaxy A15 and the Galaxy A14 are excellent budget phones that offer a compelling combination of features, performance and affordability. However, if you’re considering only these two phones, the Galaxy A15 is the better buy. It offers better performance, camera quality and battery life at a lower price than the A14.

Ultimately, choosing between the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G and the A15 4G boils down to individual priorities and specific budgets. If you want 5G connectivity and slightly better performance, the A15 5G is the better option. However, if you’re content with 4G connectivity and dependable performance at a more affordable price point, the Galaxy A15 4G remains an excellent choice. Not if you’re in the US, though – the 5G version is the only one available there.

You can really get a lot for your money these days, and the Samsung A15 is further proof of this. It has a great display, good amount of storage (which can further be expanded via microSD), not to mention excellent battery life. Performance is ok, but there are some stutters here and there, plus camera shutter lag which can be annoying. The cameras themselves are OK, albeit the one of the weaker areas of the phone. If you want a cheap smartphone for work, as a backup for your main one, or just don’t want to spend loads for a device if you only want to take calls, surf the web and pay for things at the checkout, then the Galaxy A15 is a solid option.

The Galaxy A15 4G is an excellent offer for its asking price of €190. It comes with a bright and smooth 1080p AMOLED screen, a good chipset, camera that gets the job done, and great battery life. The phone runs on the latest Android version and One UI, too, and it will get 3 major Android updates. It is hardly the best phone, that is for sure. There is no ingress protection, the speaker is so-so, the GPU performance is mediocre, and the cameras are no good at night. But even as is - the Galaxy A15 just make sense. We had it rather easy with the Galaxy A15 - it is a good phone for the price, and we do recommend it if it fits your budget. We do suggest exploring its 5G version first, though.

The Galaxy A25 steps up the game with its Super AMOLED display and a smoother 120Hz refresh rate, making it a better choice for those who enjoy vibrant colors and fluid scrolling. The Exynos 1280 processor, coupled with 5G capability, positions it as a more future-proof device, offering better performance in gaming and intensive applications. The dual-speaker setup provides an enhanced audio experience. Camera-wise, the A25 offers noticeable improvements, especially in terms of white balance and saturation. So, in conclusion, the comparison between the Samsung Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 is a tale of budget versus features. While the A15 offers affordability and reliable performance, the A25 steps up with enhanced features like a superior processor, better display technology, and 5G capability.

When evaluating the Samsung Galaxy A15 and A14, price plays a crucial role in determining their value for money. As of the latest market information, the Galaxy A14 retails for approximately $150, offering 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Galaxy A15 is priced slightly higher at $160 for a model with 6GB of RAM and the same storage capacity. This modest price difference of $10 raises an important question: does the Galaxy A15 provide enough additional value to justify this increase? After a detailed analysis of both the Samsung Galaxy A15 and A14, it’s clear that the A15 represents a significant step forward in several key areas. Price-wise, the slight difference between the two models makes the A15 an attractive proposition, especially considering the upgrades in display, performance, and camera capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy A15 LTE
The latest to join the Samsung Galaxy A series is none other than the Samsung Galaxy A15 LTE. As far as its design is concerned, Samsung has a very established design aesthetic at this point, with the new A15 almost identical to the A25 5G in terms of material and dimensions. The Galaxy A15 comes in at 160.1 x 76.8 x 8.4mm (6.30 x 3.02 x 0.33-inch) and weighs 200g/7.05oz, which is marginally smaller and heavier than its sibling, Galaxy A25. The overall construction is a mixture of a plastic chassis and back, with the front sporting a glass panel for the display. In addition, the right flank has a raised area that which houses the power and volume controls along with a fingerprint sensor. Apart from that, it is worth noting that as with most modern phones, the Galaxy A15 is slippery in the hand, so it is definitely advisable to get a case straight away, especially with the plastic chassis which probably would not survive too many falls. In terms of its display, this phone carries the 6.5-inch AMOLED panel. The display is great, with vivid colours and enough brightness to deal with a sunny day while still being able to read what is on the screen. Furthermore, the company claims an 800 nits maximum brightness, aided by its Vision Booster feature which might only be proven by time though. Having said that, the Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080) keeps things crisp, with the 90Hz refresh rate aiming to ensure smooth scrolling. However, this is not always the case though, as the processing power of the A15 tends to struggle with image-heavy pages which might result in some juddering while scrolling up and down.
As for its performance, this smartphone has been equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99. While it is quite unusual to find any Snapdragon silicon in a phone this cheap, the MediaTek Helio G99 in the A15 is still a competent processor that can handle daily tasks well. Despite some stuttering in the performance when there are a lot of graphical images on the screen, the apps open reasonably fast, with a few pauses here and there, and remains reliably interactive during use. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM which is quite on the low side from memory these days. But still, there is a 128GB of basic storage, with a further 1TB of expandable room available if supplied with the microSD card. In terms of its camera, the Galaxy A15 carries triple camera which includes a 50Mp f/1.8 wide main module, joined by a 5Mp ultrawide and a 2Mp macro. For the most part only the main camera will be utilized, as the others are not really up to much. However, one can certainly get some decent images out of the A15, mainly when there is a lot of light available. For its battery, this device has been equipped with a 5000mAh battery. Overall, it is a great budget smartphone to be explored depending on the need and preference of the user.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

75.56%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
