STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl gets delayed once again to November 2024
GSC Game World's STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl has been delayed multiple times over the years. Initially slated to launch in April 2022, the game got pushed back to September 5 2024. It has now been postponed yet again, this time to November 20, 2024. Apparently, the devs want to quash some last-minute bugs before the game drops on PC, Xbox Game Pass (day one), and Xbox Series S|X.
Meanwhile, you'll get to see more of STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl via a developer livestream on August 12. Among other things, it'll show off gameplay footage and a "full walkthrough" of one of the game's quests. Until then, you can get familiar with the game's lore via Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy which gives you access to the first three games (Shadow of Chronobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat); available for Xbox PlayStation.
STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl is confirmed to run on Unreal Engine 5, so you'll need a powerful PC to experience it in all its glory. As we've seen with previous games running the engine, consoles players might have to do with a cinematic 30 FPS if the game doesn't include a 60 FPS mode at launch.
