In our S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl review, we praised the game for its massive open world, storytelling and flawless integration with previous games in the franchise. However, it was riddled with plenty of bugs, making the experience less than optimal. GSC Game World has launched a colossal (no, seriously, it's about 100 GB in size) update that addresses many of them.
Major Patch 1.1 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl claims to fix "over 1,800 issues" with the game. It would be futile to list them all, and GSC Game World agrees with that sentiment. The update also remedies AI behaviour issues- a particularly annoying one where enemies would spawn behind you. NPCs roaming in the open world are now more diverse and will belong to multiple factions.
Additionally, Major Patch 1.1 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl also bumps up the rewards for side quests. This, combined with the astronomically high repair costs for weapon/armour, was a pain point at launch, and it is good to see it being adjusted. And the Gauss Rifle got a nice damage buff. Lastly, the infinite money glitch is gone.
