Roland has launched the Go:Mixer Studio audio interface for mobile content creators and musicians.
The device provides the ability to mix up to 14 channels of audio during performances and podcasts (up to 8 channels at the highest sampling rate of 192 kHz). Users can hear the mixed audio on connected speakers and headphones while recording multitrack audio.
The Go:Mixer Studio supports two 1/4"/XLR inputs with phantom power, one guitar/bass input, two 1/4" (L/R) line inputs, one 1/8" aux input, and one headset mic input. The interface outputs mixed analog audio through line-out and headphone outputs, or digital audio at 24-bit, 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz through the USB-C port.
The Roland Go:Cam app for iPhones and iPads allows Apple owners to record videos of their performances with multitrack audio. The audio mix can be readjusted for balance after recording before posting. The tracks can also be exported to a DAW for further sound editing.
Reverb, compression, and equalization effects can be applied to the inputs using the knobs and buttons on the mixer, or remotely in the Go:Mixer Editor app running on a PC or Mac computer. The mixer has a 320 x 240-pixel display to confirm levels and settings.
The Roland Go:Mixer Studio has an MSRP of $299 and is available from authorized dealers. Readers can look for it to arrive in the Roland store on Amazon as well.
