Roccat unveils Khan AIMO RGB gaming headset with integrated soundcard
Roccat has been working on expanding its line-up of gaming headsets after releasing the Khan Pro last year, as it now introduces the Khan AIMO RGB headset with virtual 7.1 surround sound and an integrated sound card. The headphone itself uses 50mm hi-res audio drivers and is coupled with a microphone that captures the full vocal range, according to the company.
The integrated sound card of the Khan AIMO supports sounds up to 24-bit at 96 KHz and Roccat claims that it provides a clear advantage above most integrated sound cards in desktops and notebooks. The company iterates that the virtual 7.1 surround sound can be switched off for normal 2.0 stereo usage.
Durability is an important factor for Roccat's new headset, as the device features stainless-steel sliders which should ensure a relatively long lifespan. The Khan AIMO weighs 275 grams and Roccat claims that it is one of the lightest USB headsets on the market today. The RGB lights are adjustable with the included Roccat Swarm software and can communicate with the company's other AIMO peripherals.
The Roccat Khan AIMO will be available soon for a recommended retail price of US$119,99.
