A retailer has confirmed that the Ryzen 5 3600XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT will be receiving improved base and boost clocks compared to their predecessors. The Matisse refresh, also known as Matisse 2, is expected to arrive imminently.

The lid has well and truly been removed from AMD's planned Matisse refresh. According to multiple sources, AMD plans to release the Ryzen 5 3600XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT, examples of which have recently been seen on 3DMark Fire Strike. While the Matisse refresh has not been officially announced yet, we already know quite a bit about the upcoming Zen 2 processors.

On the one hand, Materiel.net has published the prices that it will be charging for the three processors, as we have already reported. These prices, which range from €319 for the Ryzen 5 3600XT to €499 for the Ryzen 9 3900XT, do not necessarily reflect what other retailers will charge for Matisse refresh processors, though. As Videocardz notes, Materiel.net is typically more expensive than other French and European retailers.

However, even though Materiel.net may not reflect what will be the typical prices of Matisse refresh processors, it could be a barometer of price differences between XT and X processors. Citing "our sources", Videocardz asserts that the Ryzen 5 3600XT will cost US$28 more than the Ryzen 5 3600X.

Materiel.net has published the boost clocks for the Matisse refresh series, too. Contrary to what 3DMark suggested, Materiel.net claims that all three processors will have 300 MHz higher boost clocks than their predecessors. Likewise, the retailer claims that the Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT will have 200 MHz higher base clocks than the Ryzen 7 3800X and Ryzen 9 3900X. By contrast, the Ryzen 5 3600XT will have a 200 MHz higher base clock than its predecessor.

These could be placeholders until the retailer receives more information, of course. However, including expected boost clock frequencies when Materiel.net has included copy from its X series product listings would seem strange. According to the retailer, the Matisse refresh will have the following specifications. It has not disclosed any release dates yet, though.
