Remedy announces big Anniversary Update for Alan Wake 2
Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Max Payne and Alan Wake, has announced an "Anniversary Update" for Alan Wake 2, to be released alongside The Lake House DLC on October 22.
The new update promises several Quality of Life (QoL) improvements, like the ability to invert the horizontal axis on the mouse and controller. There are also gameplay enhancements like improved haptics support on PlayStation DualSense controllers and gyro aiming with support to tweak horizontal and vertical sensitivity, as well as standard/inverted directions for pitch, yaw and roll.
Previously, Alan Wake 2 only supported haptic feedback on DualSense for guns. With the update, this will be expanded to healing items and throwables.
Besides this, the update will add a "Gameplay Assist" menu that will allow players to turn on Quick Turn, auto-complete QTEs, choose between continuous button tapping or single taps and more. Players will also be able to toggle cheats like player invulnerability, infinite ammo, one-shot kill and more.
