RedMagic flagship OLED tablet with Snapdragon chipset gets 1TB storage option in China

RedMagic launched the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro in China in June 2026. It is a flagship Android tablet featuring a compact form factor and a powerful chipset. Now, the company has announced the sale date for its configuration with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The 1TB variant could be useful for those who need more storage, since the tablet does not support storage expansion via a microSD card. It will be available in China from November 9 at 8 pm local time for CNY 6,999 (~$1,048).
As for the hardware, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset alongside a liquid cooling system. On the front, it has a 9.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,504 pixels and a 185Hz refresh rate. The tablet also packs an 8,300mAh battery.
The Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is sold globally as the RedMagic Astra 2. However, the Astra 2 currently comes in 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB configurations and offers neither a 1TB option nor expandable storage. In contrast, the original Astra offered a 24GB/1TB variant. It remains to be seen whether RedMagic will also introduce a 1TB variant for the Astra 2 or keep that storage option exclusive to its Chinese counterpart.
