Realme confirms imminent GT 8 series launch, reveals key specs of affordable non-Pro phone

Realme will go against the OnePlus 15, Xiaomi 17 series, and other Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phones with the launch of the GT 8 Pro. This smartphone was recently teased for an imminent launch, and now, the company has confirmed the Chinese launch date.

As one of the recent announcements shared, the Realme GT 8 Pro will launch in China on October 21, 2025. This would be a few days earlier than the rumored OnePlus 15 Chinese debut. A recent rumor has also suggested that the brand is eyeing a quick global launch in hopes of gaining a slight edge over competitors in the international market.

The company will also launch the non-Pro Realme GT 8 on the same date, which will be a more affordable option than the Pro model. Through the recent announcements, Realme has shared some core specs of the device as well. This standard sub-flagship phone is now confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the last-gen flagship SoC. It will be paired with an independent R1 graphics chip to offer enhanced gaming performance.

Other than that, the brand has shared that Realme GT 8 will sport an OLED display with '2K' resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. While additional details about the screen aren't officially out yet, recent leaks have suggested that it will be a 6.6-inch panel. Realme further confirms that the phone will sport a triple camera setup on the back with a 50 MP periscope sensor.

Past reports have hinted that the standard GT 8 will come with a 7,000 mAh battery (Iniu 10K power bank curr. $18.69 on Amazon), a metal mid-frame, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The Ricoh GR tuning might also be available for the non-Pro Realme GT 8 Pro.
