Realme is projected to unleash a new Android smartphone with the latest, highest-shelf silicon available later in 2025. Now, the "GT 8 Pro" is also thought to upgrade to a feature heretofore only found in Samsung's current flagship handset. It is to be integrated in the year's highest-spec'd most expensive screens for devices of its class.

Realme claims to have invested more than any other Android OEM into display upgrades for its current flagship smartphone, having sourced a RealWorld Eco² OLED Plus panel directly from Samsung that launched as an exclusive to the GT 7 Pro in late 2024.

Now, it is possible that the pattern has been repeated for the allegedly upcoming GT 8 Pro, with word of a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 device with all the display bells and whistles possible - an "AR anti-glare" treatment included.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's current killer feature is allegedly applied to a 6.85-inch display with a 2K resolution (thereby comparing favorably to the 1.5K/6.78-inch screen of the GT 7 Pro), optimized by Samsung with its polarizer-free technology for OLED.

That feature (backed to make a given panel thinner and more power-efficient) apparently contributes to what will be the highest bill of materials among all new Android flagships believed to launch in the third or fourth quarters of 2025.

That might be good news for mobile display enthusiasts, but might bode poorly for the GT 8 Pro's price. Then again, Realme is able to offer the 7 Pro at €659 on Amazon in Europe right now.
