RTX 6090 launch : Moore's Law Is Dead leaks more RTX 60 release date information

The release date of the next-gen Nvidia GeForce RTX 60 series GPUs has become a hot topic online. Following Moore’s Law Is Dead’s sensational leak that Nvidia could launch the RTX 6090 in 2027, multiple industry insiders, including reliable leaker kopite7kimi, have said that the RTX 60 series GPUs are unlikely to debut in 2027. Rather than amend or retract the earlier leak, MLID has now doubled down on the earlier information.

In the latest episode of the Broken Silicon podcast, MLID shared a detailed response from the leaker’s Nvidia source responsible for the original RTX 6090 release date leak. The source claimed that Rubin Client, the architecture that will power the RTX 60 GPUs, will be ready for launch in 2027. The source also called a late 2027 or early 2028 RTX 60 launch unlikely, as all of Nvidia’s effort is “going into getting Rubin Client ready ASAP”.

The source further explained that the Rubin gaming launch happening in 2027 could just be for the RTX 6090 or the RTX 6000 Professional GPU, which could precede any gaming GPU launch.

Finally, MLID’s source called people who think that Nvidia won’t have any next-gen GPU ready to go against the flagship RDNA 5 card in 2027 “idiots” and “simply out of the loop”. Essentially, MLID’s source is quite sure that Nvidia won’t let “Radeon take a free swing at us”.

So, MLID’s alleged Nvidia source is adamant that we will see the next-gen RTX 60 series debut in 2027. This is a bold claim, especially since we haven't heard or seen any substantial technical details about the RTX 6090 or other cards. 

We’ll have to wait and see how the community and other leakers react to MLID’s latest assertions.
