Qualcomm reveals the state of its next Snapdragon X series chipsets
Qualcomm has released a whole heap of Snapdragon X chipsets this year, which it then followed by introducing the architecturally similar Snapdragon 8 Elite. For reference, Qualcomm currently offers the following chipsets to Windows OEMs:

Somehow, Qualcomm may have even more SKUs in the works. Ultimately, the company has not confirmed anything publicly yet. However, it implied as much during this week's Qualcomm Investor Day, of which XDA Developers were participants.
Unfortunately, it appears Qualcomm did not provide any specifics during the event other than these new chips will feature the same 45 TOPS NPU found in Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite variants. Moreover, XDA Developers gleaned the following:
It's a new, more entry-level tier chip that will sit below the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core. It's likely it will be called Snapdragon X.
Based on recent rumours, we suspect that Qualcomm has at least three 'Snapdragon X' chipsets in development. Specifically, there has been evidence that the company has created the X1P-24-100, X1P-39-100 and X1P-40-100. There is no guarantee that all these SKUs will be available, though. To that end, rumours about the X1P-56-100 and X1P-62-100 have come to nothing so far. Either way, these new so-called Snapdragon X chipsets are set to power sub-$600 laptops, which would significantly undercut even the cheapest Surface Pro 11 (curr. $800 on Amazon).
