ProArt Mouse MD301: Asus showcases new Logitech MX Master 3S rival with swappable switches

Asus has introduced a new ProArt Mouse at CES 2026, but the company didn't go much into the details of the productivity-focused mouse. Now, there's a brand-new video that gives a better look at the company's latest Logitech MX Master rival. The product has a live page on the brand's website as well.
As Asus initially highlighted at CES 2026, the ProArt Mouse MD301 is designed to be versatile. With swappable buttons, users can choose between optical and micro switches or install a mix of the two if preferred.
Just like on the latest Logitech MX Master 3S (available on Amazon), the wheel of the Asus ProArt MD301, called the SmartShift Wheel, can offer a customized scrolling experience. Users can switch between "high-speed free-spin" and "line-by-line control" scrolling.
While Asus doesn't specify the sensor that's inside this productivity mouse, it's an "high-end" option with up to an 8,000 DPI sensor resolution. There's support for 1 KHz polling rate through the USB and 2.4 GHz modes, which should keep the latency low and cursor movement smooth.
There's no mention of what the polling rate is like on Bluetooth mode, but Asus specifies that the sensor can work on a wide range of surfaces, including glass. The company further highlights that there are low-friction PTFE feet to make sure that the mouse glides smoothly.
Design-wise, Asus has put ergonomics first, with the mouse being claimed to fit naturally in the hand and offering a comfortable grip. The ProArt Mouse MD301 is lighter than the MX Master 3S as well, coming in at 99.7 grams, which makes it a better pick for those who are prone to wrist fatigue.
A total of six programmable buttons, up to 180 days of battery life rating, and fast charging support are among the other notable aspects of this mouse. The ProArt MD301 is still expected to be available for purchase before mid-2026. More details about the mouse itself can now be found on the dedicated live webpage.
