Prime Computer has upgraded the PrimeMini 5 to Intel Tiger Lake processors. Available with up to the Core i7-1185G7, the PrimeMini 5 offers passive cooling and plenty of I/O within a 177 x 114 x 55 mm chassis. Prices start at €945 with a Core i3-1115G4, 8 GB of RAM and a 250 GB SSD.

Prime Computer has announced a refreshed PrimeMini 5, another fanless mini-PC with plenty of configuration options. According to the company, the PrimeMini 5 measures 177 x 114 x 55 mm, which is still big enough to include over a dozen ports in some configurations. Specifically, the PrimeMini 5 comes with the following ports:

  • 1x Ethernet (2.5 Gbps)
  • 2x HDMI 2.0b
  • 1x RS-232 serial (optional)
  • 2x Thunderbolt 4
  • 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
  • 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A

Additionally, Prime Computer offers the PrimeMini 5 with a second Ethernet connection and another two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, should you need even more connectivity. At the heart of the PrimeMini 5 lies the Intel Tiger Lake platform, meaning that the mini-PC should match the performance of last-generation ultrabooks. Also, Prime Computer includes two SODIMM slots for DDR4-3200 RAM, an M.2 2280 slot, a 2.5-inch drive bay and a choice between Intel Wireless-AC 9560 or Wi-Fi 6E AX210 modems.

Currently, the PrimeMini 5 is orderable from €945 with a Core i3-1115G4, 8 GB of RAM and 250 GB of storage. Alternatively, the machine can be configured with a Core i5-1135G7, Core i5-1145G7, Core i7-1165G7 or a Core i7-1185G7. Likewise, the PrimeMini 5 comes with 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB RAM options as well. More details about the PrimeMini 5 can be found on Prime Computer's product page.
