The C3 is projected to be a cost-effective new Poco phone that will launch in India on October 6, 2020 - or just 3 days from now. The brand is gearing up for this event with a new hype video posted on Twitter. It focuses on how the device can "change the game" for the buyer in the camera department.
To this end, Poco has announced that it is to have a 13MP main rear camera, accompanied by 2 more sensors for depth and macro functions. Going by the typical specs for such lenses in 2020, they may turn out to be 2-5 and 2MP in resolution respectively.
Should this be the case, it is looking more and more like this C3 is in fact the Redmi 9C, re-badged for the Indian market. A shot of a square rear camera module that seems to have a flash in the lower left quandrant may reinforce this impression somewhat: it matches that of the 9C exactly, even though its apparent unreleased counterpart apparently exhibits a big "POCO" logo directly underneath it.
Nevertheless, some mystique may still remain for avid fans looking for a good deal in the near future. This mainly concerns questions over how much RAM the C3 may offer (the 9C has 2 and 3GB SKUs) and how much it will in fact cost when it goes live on Flipkart after its launch.
