PlayStation gamers can use AppleTV+ and Apple Music for free for several months
In cooperation with Apple, Sony is offering gamers the opportunity to stream songs via Apple Music for up to 6 months free of charge and to watch films and series on Apple TV+ for up to 3 months. The offer is valid for both new customers and returning subscribers to Apple TV+. Eligibility requirements are a PlayStation Network account, a Apple ID and being at least 13 years old for Apple Music and 16 years old for AppleTV+. While the Apple Music offer is only available to PlayStation 5 users, free Apple TV access is available for both PS4 (available here on Amazon for $349) and PS5 (available here on Amazon for $479).
Note: As soon as the free subscription ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription, whereby payment is processed via the payment method stored in the Apple ID. However, users can cancel their subscription up to one day before it expires.
3 months free Apple TV+
Although AppleTV+ has not yet been able to assert itself against the major competition from Netflix and Amazon, the streaming service still offers a few interesting exclusive titles - such as the comedy-drama series Ted Lasso which has won several Emmy Awards and is about an American soccer coach, played by Jason Sudeikis, who trains a British soccer team.
Other popular titles on Apple TV+ include the science fiction drama For All Mankind or the crime mini-series Presumed Innocent. In total, the streaming offer includes more than 100 films and series produced exclusively for Apple TV+.
To secure 3 months of free access to Apple's streaming service, which usually costs $9.99 per month, PlayStation users simply need to download the Apple TV app in the "TV & Video" section of the PS4 console or via the media home screen of the PS5 console and log in with their Apple ID.
6 months free Apple Music
Apple's music streaming service not only offers the latest songs and albums, but also regular live performances and concerts by major artists that can only be streamed on Apple Music. Last year, for example, Ed Sheeran performed his new album "Substract" on Apple Music.
Normally, Apple Music costs $10.99 per month. PlayStation 5 users simply need to download the Apple Music app and log in with their Apple ID to get 6 months' free access.
Prices are subject to change. The offer was available at the time of publication of the article, but may be limited in time or quantity.
