Panasonic launches headphones with 100-hour battery life

Keeping wireless headphones charged can be a nuisance, particularly when travelling. Panasonic's new RB-HJ800 aims to make that problem considerably less frequent, offering up to 100 hours of continuous playback with active noise cancellation (ANC) switched off.
According to Panasonic, battery life drops to approximately 72 hours with ANC enabled. That is still enough for nearly a month of listening at 2.5 hours per day, although actual endurance will depend on usage and settings. The company claims this is currently the longest battery life offered by any of its wireless headphones.
The RB-HJ800 uses 40mm drivers and includes a built-in Bass Enhancer that can be activated or deactivated using a button on the headphones. Panasonic has also equipped the model with soft headband padding and ear cushions designed to reduce pressure during extended listening sessions.
The styling takes inspiration from traditional Japanese colors, with three finishes: Shikkoku (black), Shironeri (white) and Umezome (pink). A rounded design and single-arm construction give the headphones a minimalist appearance, while two folding configurations make them easier to store.
Panasonic announced the RB-HJ800 on November 6, 2026, with a Japanese online-store price of ¥14,850 (approximately $94). There is a small discrepancy in the release schedule: Panasonic's official product page lists November 18, while its own online storefront and several Japanese retailers indicate November 19. International pricing and availability remain unconfirmed.
With a century of Japanese engineering heritage behind it, Panasonic seems to have given the RB-HJ800 the endurance of a samurai on a long campaign. Whether its advertised 100 hours can survive the battle of everyday use remains to be seen.
